We got our own Pet Potato!

In English we have been reading the book The Pet Potato, where Albert, who is the main character, is begging his parents to have a pet. However, his parents refused to gave him a real pet, so they gave him a potato instead. We also got our potato and had to work in groups to freeze frame how Albert reacted when he received this present. Then, we decorated it our own potato to make it our pet! It was such a fun lesson!

We really enjoyed reading this story and during the rest of the week we have been working really hard writing our own versions of the story. Some of us decided to write about having a potato like Albert and some of us chose to have a fruit instead, like a pineapple,  a plum or a watermelon.
