English.

We had a fantastic poetry  workshop with Justin Coe this week. We created mesostic poems based on John  Hegley’s poem, What a Poem’s Not. (A mesostic poem is a special kind  of poem where a secret word runs down the middle. Each letter of the word is  inside a line, and the rest of the poem is about that word. It’s like a  hidden message in the middle of a poem!)

An example of a poem.

Make your own mesostic poem - You choose the theme!

This week’s spellings all contain ‘silent’  letters

Doubt            knife

Science         knowledge

Sign               write

Rhythm          half
