There are so many people who help is in our everyday lives. Some help us with day to day and others when it’s an emergency. It’s crucial to get children to understand people who help us in emergency situations and that this is done in a way that makes children feel safe.

We have been finding out about the important jobs that some people do and how they help us in an emergency.

We discovered that, to do their job, firefighters do lots of training. We talked about protective clothing, and how exercise and eating healthily effects our bodies and we practised squirting the hoses and putting out fires!
