We made Picasso-inspired portraits!

As part of our exploration, we looked closely at our own features and talked about what we could see. We practised pointing to our eyes, nose, mouth, and ears, and discussed the amazing senses they give us—like seeing, smelling, tasting, and hearing.

Using this inspiration, we created wonderfully textured portraits, just like Picasso might have done, but with our own special twist. Each piece shows how we see ourselves, blending shapes, colors, and textures to make unique masterpieces!

Continue the learning at home:

Play a game where children point to their features (eyes, nose, mouth, ears, hands) and talk about what they do.

Sit in front of a mirror and encourage children to study their features. They can trace their face on the mirror using a washable marker or draw it on paper.
