Horniman Museum and Christmas Jumper Day in 2G
Today, 2G went to the Horniman Museum to do a ‘Toy Workshop’ as part of our Topic this term. Before the workshop, we had a walk around the Gallery where we discovered so many different objects from around the world. Above the gallery, we saw the beautiful display of kites and banners hanging in the ceiling vault. They all come from Guatemala, China, London and beyond.
One of the things we really liked was the Cloutie Tree, covered in wishes from visitors. We all wrote our own wish for next year! Then, we had a look at some old toys like dolls houses, horses made from flip flops, cars made from tins and so many more.
After having a look at the Gallery and drawing our favourite spot of the Museum we had our ‘Toy Workshop’. It was so much fun, and we had really liked playing with the puppets and wooden toys. We also saw a jumping jack made from wood, just like the one we did at school!
Once the workshop finished, we head back to school for more fun! It was our Christmas Lunch! What a busy day 2G!
