We observed water in a solid state (frozen); a liquid state (water); and a gaseous state (water vapour). We watched as ice melted into water and water evaporated into vapour and then condensed back into water again. We were very surprised when we added salt to ice that it melted really quickly even though the temperature was 0 degrees!
