Our story this week was 'Supertato' by Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet. The children enjoyed designing their own potato superheroes and pea villains and writing speech bubbles! We looked at how potatoes grow and we look forward to planting some next week! We also cooked our own chips from potatoes and enjoyed eating them. Storytelling is an important part of the day in Pebble Class. It is wonderful to see the children grow in their confidence and skill as they tell, listen to and act out their stories.

Our Maths carpet times were focused around building staircases. We talked about what we noticed about our patterns! Arya said, "You can go up, up, up, up, up and down, down, down, down, down!". Tiwa said, "You can go up 1-2-3-4-5". Alyssa said, "Each step there is one more, for example on one there is one block, on two there are two." Noah said, "You could keep going to 9 and 10". Milan-Tae said, " You can see the order they have to go in". Such great Maths thinking Pebble Class!
