In D&T, over the last few weeks, we’ve been working on a project called ‘Earth from Above’ as part of our topic (Earth from Above & Below).

First, we thought about all the ways that earth can be viewed from above e.g. from planes, hot air balloons, tall buildings etc.

We then, analysed and tested existing products (toy gliders and toy parachutes) before making our own replicas.

Finally, we used all the information we collected to help us make our very own flying machines! As a class, we tested them to see how they well they worked in our own ‘Flight Olympics’!
