We have had such a great start to being in Year One. It is wonderful to be back together again after the summer break.

Our class agreement states: We are 1R!! We are kind, we are gentle, we are a team and we are honest. We also added 'we will keep all of our friends safe (and dry!)'.

We love our new classroom and are finding our way with the new routines such as assembly, PE and home time.

The children will be playing and learning outdoors at lunch and playtime in all weather throughout the autumn and winter so please provide wellies and a waterproof coat with a hood that can be left at school if you prefer. Waterproof trousers would be great, too. Aldi and Tesco may be good places to source these.

Please also provide spare clothes such as socks, plimsoles, leggings or jogging bottoms, pant, knickers and top in a labelled bag to keep on your child's peg.

Learning outdoors in the rain is great, but being cold and wet for the rest of the day is not!

Be sure to label each item of your children's clothes and shoes with their name and class in case they get mixed up.
