Try this investigation at home and record what you notice!
Experiment: Flat Paper vs Scrunched Paper
Big Question:
Does the shape of an object change how fast it falls?
What You Need
1 sheet of paper
A timer (optional)
A safe place to drop the paper (standing up or from a chair with an adult nearby)
Method
Hold a flat sheet of paper up high.
Drop it and watch how it falls to the ground.
Now scrunch the same piece of paper into a tight ball.
Hold it at the same height.
Drop it again.
Watch carefully to see which one falls faster.
