Today, Year 5 arrived safely at Wick Court Farm after an exciting journey by coach. Everyone was full of energy and couldn’t wait to explore the farm!

When we arrived, we met the friendly farmers who will be teaching us all about life on the farm during our stay. They showed us how to put on our overalls and wellies properly so that we are ready for muddy jobs and outdoor work.

After settling in, we went on a tour of the farm and discovered all the different areas where the animals live. We met the pigs,sheep and chickens, and learned a little about how they are cared for each day. The pigs were especially noisy at feeding time!

The children have already shown fantastic teamwork, listening skills and enthusiasm. After a busy first day, everyone is looking forward to a work-packed day tomorrow with lots more farming activities to come. Stay tuned for more updates from Wick Court Farm!
