Pebble Class visited Ladywell Park to find the Easter Bunny and have an Easter egg hunt! We looked for signs of spring along the way and found blossoms, flowers and we stopped to hear the birds singing.

In class we have been learning about Easter and Spring and have created our own garden with paper. As the children kept adding their flowers, butterflies and bees, one child said "our garden is unstoppable!" Our Hyacinth continues to blossom and grow as we look after it very carefully.

On Friday we visited Holbeach Baptist Church and were so curious what was inside this building many of us pass every day on the way to school. Pastor Raphael met us and was so kind and welcoming.

In Phonics we have learned 'ure' as in 'cure' and 'er' as in 'ladder'. We discovered so many words ending in 'er' like sister, brother, mother, father, winter, summer. Can you think of even more? We have now learned all our new sounds and will spend next term going over them all again as we use them to read and write.

In Maths this week we have been learning about 'half' and have been cutting groups of things in half and seeing how many we have left.

We hope you have a wonderful Spring break and we will see you in two weeks!

Please keep reading and writing every day!!
