This week the children have been working incredibly hard on their Nativity performance, and we are so proud of how confidently they are learning their lines and singing their songs. The excitement is building as the big day gets closer!

This week we also enjoyed reading The Foggy Foggy Forest by Nick Sharratt. The children loved spotting the mysterious silhouettes in the story and then used their imaginations to create their own drawings of what else might be hiding in the foggy forest. We had everything from magical creatures to funny woodland surprises!

In maths, we have been using Unifix cubes to build number stairs, helping the children see how numbers grow by one each time. We also had lots of fun making our own Numberblocks 1–5 using paper and glue. There was plenty of careful cutting and sticking involved!

In phonics, we have learnt the sounds o, c, k. Please keep practising these at home. If your child is writing the letters in their phonics book, do encourage correct letter formation. You are very welcome to model the letters, but please avoid using dots for them to trace-this really helps their independent writing develop.

We are very much looking forward to seeing you all at our Christmas show on Tuesday 2nd December at 2pm. Children can come to school wearing their show clothes that day. We can’t wait to share all their hard work with you!

Have a lovely weekend! 🎄✨
