Science Week - 2W
March 11, 2026
This week is Science Week! To celebrate, we have had some extra Science lessons, including a fun investigation called Rocket Mice.
First, we watched a video about forces and learned that forces are pushes and pulls that can make things move. We talked about the different forces needed to make objects move and discussed which forces would be needed to send our Rocket Mice into the air using a milk bottle.
We designed our mice and then used a milk bottle to push the air out of the bottle and shoot our paper mice into the air! We then discussed what might happen if we used a different type of bottle and tried again with a water bottle to see if it made a difference.
The children loved testing how high their rocket mice could fly!
