Pebble Class explored France this week for Culture Week! We explored the flag, culture, music, food, language, geography and designer handbags!

We especially enjoyed learning about the Eiffel Tower in Paris. We drew and built our own models. We learned there are 1, 665 steps to the top and wondered how that compares to Holbeach School. The children decided that the only way to find out would be to climb and count the steps in Holbeach and time ourselves doing it. It took us 8 minutes to get to the top and all the way back down again!

We discovered there are 91 steps to climb to the top of the school. We recorded this together on ten frames and then multiplied again and again to show the number of steps up to the very top of the Eiffel Tower!!

We decided it is very tall and it would take a long time to climb!!!
