Introducing our new Pebble-Cat! She is a beautiful weighted soft toy with a soft blanket to help us feel calm and do good carpet sitting.

We have been learning a song called 'Stop and Think' and we have talked about how we can be a better friend when we stop and wait and take some time to think. Your child may want to share it with you so I have attached the link for you.

It has been such a fun week of learning in Pebble Class! We read 'Afiya' by James Berry and Anna Cunha. Afiya's white dress collects patterns and pictures from the world around her. We worked as a team to create a skirt for her with beautiful drawings of butterflies, flowers, crocodiles, tigers and more!

We also read 'Zog' by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. For Science week we did an experiment with Shell Class. We tested our predictions of which bottle would be best to put our a dragon's fire! We found out the the Fairy liquid bottle worked best as it was so squeezy and has a smaller hole for the water to shoot out of.

Children from Year 3 came to read stories with us!

Our hot wheel track was so exciting to play with and we did great at taking turns and sharing.

Sensory massage is also something new that we tried this week. We put on soft music and a video so we could copy the motions on our friends' backs. This was so relaxing!

In Phonics we have been learning '-ing' endings, 'ow' as in 'owl' and 'oi' as in 'coin'. In Maths we have been finding the missing number and noticing number patterns.
