This week in Reception we started our new topic, I Love Adventures. The children were very excited to share their ideas about different adventures they would like to go on during their final half term in Reception. We had lots of wonderful suggestions including nature walks, going on a bus, visiting a park, exploring the school grounds and many more imaginative ideas.

The children enjoyed talking together, listening to each other’s thoughts and ideas of their favourite adventures. It has been lovely to see their enthusiasm and excitement for learning through play and exploration.

We have also started preparing for Culture Week by thinking about what makes each of us special and unique. The children enjoyed creating a Recipe of Me where they thought carefully about their personalities, interests, families and favourite things. It was wonderful to celebrate the things that make us all different and special.

Over the next few weeks we will try to complete as many of the children’s adventure ideas as we can. We are looking forward to making lots of special memories together during their final weeks in Reception.
