This week we have been making the most of the lovely sunshine and spending lots of time learning outdoors. The children have enjoyed building, digging, climbing and taking part in cooperative ball games. These activities are not only great fun but also support the development of important physical skills such as coordination, balance and teamwork.

In maths we have been learning about doubles. The children have explored this through a range of practical activities, including playing dominoes and creating their own ladybirds with matching doubles on each wing. It has been wonderful to see them beginning to recognise and talk about equal groups with growing confidence.

In phonics we have learnt the sounds ear and air. The children have been practising reading and writing words containing these sounds and are becoming more confident in spotting them in their reading.
