Exploring 2D Shapes

Today in maths, we learnt about 2D shapes. We began by identifying different shapes and learning their names, such as circles, squares, triangles, and rectangles.

After that, we worked in groups. Each group was given a set of 2D shapes to identify and discuss. This helped us recognise the shapes more easily and understand their features.

We then had the opportunity to draw our own favourite shapes. Some children used different shapes to create patterns and pictures. For example, some made faces, flowers, and houses using a combination of shapes.

It was a fun and creative lesson, and we enjoyed using our imagination while learning about 2D shapes.
