World Book Day 2026 was a joyful and memorable celebration in our classroom! The children were very excited to take part in this special day and proudly dressed up as their favourite book characters. From brave heroes to magical creatures, the classroom was filled with creativity, colour, and imagination.

Each child had the opportunity to share who they had dressed up as and explain why their character was special to them. It was wonderful to hear the children talk about their favourite stories and the characters they love. This helped to encourage a love of reading and storytelling among the class.

Throughout the day, the children took part in a variety of fun activities linked to books and reading. These activities helped the children explore stories in creative ways while building their confidence and enthusiasm for books.

One of the highlights of the day was when an older class joined us for a special reading session. The Year 6W children came to read with our class and acted as fantastic reading buddies. Our younger readers really enjoyed listening to the stories and sharing books together.
