In DT we have been taking part in the egg drop challenge! In pairs, we designed a container that would protect an egg when it was dropped from a height.

First we designed our container, thinking about all the types of materials that we could use.

Then we worked together to make the container, carefully following our design.

Next we tested the containers! Some of them kept the egg safe but we did have some cracks and splats. It was really interesting to talk about why some of the eggs were protected and why others were not. We thought about any changes we would make if we were to do it again.
