Today is World Book Day! We have celebrated by dressing up as our favourite book characters.

Can you guess who we all are? Tell someone at home which characters you spotted around the school today. We listened to a song in assembly with more book characters. Use the link to watch the video and see how many books you can identify.

In class we talked about parts of a story, particularly the character and settings. We were given a mystery object and used this to create a class story. We really enjoyed sharing all of our ideas together. Click the PDF to read our class short story.

In the afternoon we read with 4F, it was great sharing our favourite stories with the older children. There was a real buzz around reading and both classes had a wonderful time reading and talking about books. Then we went to an assembly by Patterson Joseph who talked about being an author and the book he has written.

We have had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day!
